This game has two types of grenades, an explosive for a primary and a secondary. Not to mention, you can use the secondary explosive weapon as a primary at the same time. But there isn't one skill or module for explosive resistance.
Many shooters include explosive resistance but this game, which has all of these cheesy explosives gives none for infantry. Was in a match and that was all that was being used. Flux - Contact grenade - Flaylock.
When I saw two people in a flaylock 1v1, that's when I realized this game has gotten ridiculous as far as explosives are concerned. |

Swarm launchers are not what I have in mind. Besides, vehicles have shield and armor resistance already. |

I'd like the ability to tailor resistances to be one of the defining advantages of armor over sheilds. Not that sheilds couldn't modify resistances, but that armor would do it better.
Would also like to see heavies get an adaptive? resistance buff to sheilds/armor. This would help them fullfill their defined role and differentiate them from other suits.
This needs to be implemented at some point. I have to deal with heavies, suped up LAVs, and now 4 types of explosives. I'be never seen a game where the first instinct in a cqc is to launch a grenade. You use grenades to clear an area before you chaege in or some clown hiding behind cover for 2 mins....or some guy some distance from you...or at a bunch of people close together some distance from you. You use other explosives for suppressive fire, or the same reasons as a grenade, etc.
This game is hardly a shooter. The only thing right about it is thw first person part.
And I understand the use of weapons other than an AR but in Dust, these specialty weapons are ridiculous. Two people laumchig explosives at each other's feet in a 1v1 is just too much. |

Exactly, and I wonder why there is so much emphasis on these weapons. It's really as if the devs have never played a shooter before. I'm really trying to understand. |
